Professional Magician

Hi, I’m Matt,

I perform magic and other forms of entertainment at weddings, dinners, corporate functions, and trade shows. Magic & circus arts were my hobbies as a kid, since then, I’ve been performing professionally for over 2 decades and full time since 2012. I’m bloody good too, you can ask my mum but I’ve also won a few awards.

Adding Magic To A Special Event

My entertainment is designed to amaze your guests but also get them talking, clapping and laughing to help build the atmosphere. Making your event one they’ll really enjoy and never forget.

Wedding Magician

I have performed magic at many weddings across Yorkshire, the UK and more recently abroad. Though how I present my tricks can be tailored to you.

Add magic to your wedding

Dinner and Event Magician

My magic has proved to be the perfect addition to many corporate, family & social dinners for over 20 years now. As an event magician I perform in a contemporary style with everyday objects such as cards, coins, dice, etc.

Amaze your guests

Trade Show Magician

In the most part, trade shows are pretty dull with all the same business card drops and standard giveaways. Make your business stand out at the next one with a guarantee to double the organic footfall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q) How do I make my wedding memorable?

A) You’ll see from a great magician’s testimonials how many guests comment on the massive impact the magic experience had on their impression of the day. I frequently get emails from brides and grooms telling me how people haven’t stopped talking about the magic I did for them. I often have people coming to show me a signed playing card they have in their purse or wallet that we used for a trick at a wedding 5-10+ years ago. So if you want your wedding to stick in people’s minds & their wallets book an awesome magician.!

Q) How do you make a company stand out at a trade show?

A) Giveaways are old hat and 10 a penny unless you invest £££s in the latest fad drinks bottle or portable phone charger to give away to “non-leads” that are just sweeping the event for every freebie they can get there hands on. A skilled ambassador for your company that can draw in qualified leads for your business with awesome magic tricks is the complete opposite end of the spectrum and makes your stand THE ONE to visit at any event.

Q) Are magicians cheesy?

A) They were, when I started in the business there was a massive stigma towards magicians as we were given a bad name by many cheesy/sleazy magicians that would spend as much time trying to flirt with your misses as they did doing magic tricks. In the 25+ years I’ve been performing magic I’ve worked to quash that. Myself and, I’m pleased to say, most others (sadly not all) have more of the ethos that; “here’s some cool stuff I’ve learnt over the years and we can all enjoy it together” rather than the old fashioned; “Look how good I am” approach.

Q) What is the best way to make an event memorable?

A) Do something random and unexpected, the advantage we have with that previous stereotype of sleazy/cheesy magicians is to blow people’s minds in a way they actually enjoy being part of. People keep the souvenirs from the tricks we perform with them and tell the stories of what they’ve seen long after we are gone and the event is over. If you really want to create a lasting memory of your event, give your guests something they can’t just find the answer to on Google.

Q) What are the secrets to magic tricks?

A) Hand on heart, you don’t want to know; “Imagination is more important than knowledge” (Albert Einstein). The effect of a magic trick (what appears to happen) is more often than not, infinitely more fascinating than the method used to achieve it. Method’s are boring, they’re the knowledge part from Einstein’s famous quote, the effect (the imagination) is the important part. Stay oblivious to the method and you’ll love the world that little bit more (unless you’re kind of sad like me and take delight in working out a method for anything you can conjure up in your imagination, in which case CLICK HERE to learn magic directly me).
